Nourish & Replenish PD
A day of connection, renewal and growth.
Helping others means holding space for pain, urgency and complex emotions every day.
As therapists, we are continually holding space for others’ pain. We sit with their sorrow, their confusion, their anger, and their hope. This exposure to our clients’ emotional distress leaves an impact on us which we carry in our bodies, our nervous system and in the spaces between sessions.
Take a day to be held and supported.
Set in the peaceful surroundings of Edenhope Homestead and in connection with our beautiful herd of horses, we will slow down, learn how to reset your mind body system, offering you renewed capacity to support self and clients in your therapeutic work.
What we’ll do
You will be gently guided through somatic and polyvagal-informed mind–body practices to support regulation of your autonomic nervous system.
Experience subtle shifts within your own nervous system through safe connection with horses, learning how they regulate and co-regulate as a herd.
Observe and spend time alongside the herd, gaining insight and fresh perspective while being invited to pause and reflect.
Participate in integration and resourcing practices in nature to anchor your reflections, nurture your system, and support restoration.
What You’ll Get
5 hours Professional Development
Tangible, long lasting mind-body regulation tools to support your clients and yourself outside of sessions.
Facilitated Equine-Assisted learning, somatic experiencing and observations (non-riding)
Country-style morning tea
Personalised, small group experience (limit of 12 participants)

Why Horses?
The Calm State
Weaving the horse’s wisdom and our body wisdom creates long lasting benefits as we continue in our client practice.
Studies suggest that horses exhibit a “coherent” heart rhythm—a stable and harmonious heart rate pattern.
A coherent heart rhythm reflects a biological system that can recover from and adjust to stressful situations easily and efficiently.
When we are in the presence of horses, our own heart pattern may co-regulate with that of the horse, which is why we often feel a sense of calm, peacefulness and wellness around horses.
Healthy horses instinctively regulate their energy. They conserve and restore through practices like outbreath/exhalation, grounding, and physically shaking off excess tension, allowing them to reset and return to a relaxed state, such as grazing.
