The temperature in Gembrook is on average 3 degrees cooler than Melbourne. Please dress appropriately for the conditions ie sun hat, rain coat, warm jacket. Closed toe shoes (hard toe preferred) or even gumboots for winter conditions. Long pants preferred.

Sessions are typically held outdoors. In the case of light rain, sessions are likely to go ahead. If it is raining heavily, or over 32 degrees, the session may be moved to our covered stables or postponed (by mutual agreement). There is currently no indoor counselling room.

We are about 5 kms from Gembrook township. We are the last property on the left hand side before Kurth Kiln Regional Park. It may be helpful to navigate to Halls Outdoor Education and then to us because online maps often navigate through Kurth Kiln when driving from the north side. Turn left down into our property, then immediately left to park in front of a silver gate next to our hay shed where you will be met at your car.

Session payment is via EFT upon invoice following the session, and prior to any future sessions.

No referrals are required to book a session with us.

Unfortunately, at this stage, counselors are not eligible for the Medicare rebate, so all sessions are 100% out of pocket.

24 hours notice is required to cancel without a fee applied. If less than 24 hours, a cancellation fee of 50% of the session cost is applied and a 100% fee for no shows. Extenuating circumstances may waive the cancellation fee.

We understand how special it is to ride a horse, however we do not offer horse riding or mounted experiences.

Due to insurance and privacy implications, parents and carers are required to stay at their car for the session duration. Parents/guardians are welcome to take a short walk to view the property around the stables area on the first session (by arrangement).

Absolutely. We provide an invoice for self-managed and plan-managed clients. We are not currently registered as an NDIS provider for agency managed clients, but can invoice for individual and group equine assisted learning sessions.
